Subject	Sub Amplifier wiring

Message	So I really just have one question, is it possible to wire the subwoofer amp up to the fuel pump instead of the head unit to turn on. NOT THE POWER WIRE, but just the activation cable that would normally be wired to the head unit. The reason for this is that the head unit on my car is wired through at least two adapters and has a bunch of spliced wires everywhere and I don't really know what goes where, so I'm trying to avoid working with it. RCA cables were already installed and run to the rear when I bought it, so thats not a problem. And the power wire is fairly easy to run through the body. Anyways my question is just if i can do it, and will it harm the fuel pump?
